The WSS-06 radiation sensor from Dragino is a sensor for total solar radiation in the spectral range from 0.3 to 3 μ m (300 to 3000 nm). If the sensor surface is directed downwards during installation, the reflected radiation can also be measured. The shading ring can also be used to measure scattered radiation. The radiation sensor is a high-precision, light-sensitive element that has good stability and, with the PTTE radiation cover, effectively prevents environmental influences from affecting performance. After connecting the WSS-06 to the Dragino weather station solution WSC1-L via RS485 interface, the environmental data can be transmitted via LoRaWAN.
This radiation sensor is the right accessory for the Dragino weather station solution. Main process unit (WSC1-L) must also be used, otherwise the functionality cannot be achieved.
