The Dragino RS485 series is an RS485 / UART to LoRaWAN/NB-IoT converter for Internet of Things solutions. Users can connect RS485 or UART sensors to the converter and configure it to periodically read sensor values and upload them to the IoT server via the LoRaWAN and NB-IoT network. The Dragino RS485 outdoor converter can be connected to RS485 sensors, 3.3V/5V UART TTL sensors or interrupt sensors. The RS485 converter provides a 3.3V and a 5V output voltage to supply external sensors with power. Both output voltages are controllable to minimize the overall energy consumption of the system. The Dragino RS485 series is IP67 waterproof and is powered by an 8500mAh Li-SOCI2 battery or a solar panel with Li-ion battery. It is designed for long-term use over several years. It supports BLE configuration and OTA updates, making it easier for users to use. The 1D version of the RS485 NB-IoT comes with a 1NCE SIM card and the DataCake IoT service. The 1NCE card provides a 10-year lifetime for the NB-IoT connection and includes 500 MB of data volume, which is enough for 10 years of normal data traffic for the NB-IoT sensor.
