The InHand Networks EC312 LoRaWAN Gateway is an industrial-grade IoT gateway designed for deploying high-performance LoRaWAN networks in smart city, energy, and industrial applications. It is based on the SX1302 chipset and can manage up to 2,000 end devices, with ranges of up to 15 km (LOS) or approximately 2 km in urban environments. The gateway supports multiple communication channels such as 4G (LTE Cat 1), Ethernet, and Wi-Fi, including redundancy with dual-SIM failover. Security is ensured by features such as Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, VPN, and a firewall. Thanks to the integrated LoRaWAN Network Server (LNS) and compatibility with platforms such as ChirpStack, flexible integration is possible.

The gateway is designed to support up to 2,000 nodes. It provides a communication range of up to 15 km in line-of-sight (LOS) conditions and approximately 2 km in non-line-of-sight (NLOS) urban environments.
This specific model provides multi-link redundancy via EMEA CAT1 cellular connectivity, two 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports, and dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4G/5G). It also includes dual Nano SIM slots for cellular failover.
To ensure system integrity and data security, the gateway features an integrated TPM 2.0 chip and supports Secure Boot and TrustZone technologies.
Yes, the device runs on the Debian 11 operating system (Kernel 5.10.168) and provides a multi-programming language development platform for secondary development and custom application hosting.
The gateway includes built-in power failure protection that provides a 20-second buffer after power loss. This allows the device to perform a safe shutdown and issue a power failure alarm.
The unit is equipped with one RS-232/485 port and one isolated RS-485 port. It natively supports several industrial protocols, including Modbus RTU/TCP, EtherNet/IP, OPC UA, and BACnet.
