The MClimate Wireless Thermostat is a standalone thermostat powered entirely by solar energy via an organic solar panel. The device features a 2.9" e-ink screen, motion sensor (PIR), temperature and humidity sensor, LUX sensor and 3 buttons. The user can change the target temperature and view the current indoor conditions. The device sends an uplink after each event and at regular intervals. The data from the wireless thermostat can be used in any LoRaWAN compatible system, including building management systems, to control various devices in the building.

Note: To avoid damage to the solar panel, it should not be hung in direct sunlight, a few hours of sunlight is not a problem.

What is the MClimate Wireless Thermostat used for?

The MClimate Wireless Thermostat is used for building management systems integration, temperature monitoring, humidity monitoring, light intensity monitoring, motion detection, data transmission, child lock, energy management, and heating control.

How does the thermostat communicate data?

The thermostat sends data uplinks periodically or when the target temperature is changed or motion is detected. This data can be integrated into LoRaWAN-compatible Building Management Systems.

What sensors are included in the MClimate Wireless Thermostat?

The thermostat includes temperature, humidity, PIR (motion), and LUX (light) sensors. It can also optionally include a CO2 sensor.

What are the power options for the device?

The device can be powered by solar energy using a Lithium-ion capacitor (LIC), 2 or 4 AA 1.5VDC batteries, or a USB-C connection.

What are the environmental requirements for operating the thermostat?

The thermostat is for indoor use only. It should be used at altitudes up to 2000m, with an ambient temperature between 0°C and +50°C, and a maximum relative humidity of 80% (at 31°C) decreasing linearly to 25% (at 50°C).

How is the thermostat mounted?

The thermostat can be mounted using double-sided tape or screws and dowels with an anti-theft bracket.

How long does it take to charge the supercapacitor?

The supercapacitor takes approximately 20 minutes to charge via USB-C or about 12 hours via solar power in a brightly lit office (1000 lux).

What happens when the reset button is used?

The reset function triggers a Join-Request on SF9, performs a full screen refresh, and preserves existing parameters.

Is a LoRaWAN network required to use this device?

Yes, a LoRaWAN network is required for the thermostat to operate.
