The SensMax SMX TS is the central gateway in the SensMax real-time counting system and collects data from up to 20 D3 TS people-counting sensors and L3 TS feedback buttons via 868-MHz radio —with a range of 150 m (LR) or 800 m (SLR), depending on the model. It forwards the collected data in real time via MQTT over Wi-Fi or Ethernet to a central server. An internal memory buffers up to 40 days of data at 5-minute intervals; configuration is conveniently performed via an integrated web interface. Power is supplied via USB or a 5-V power adapter; the unit features a compact ABS housing (66 × 66 × 28 mm).

Note: SensMax devices communicate via a proprietary, manufacturer-specific protocol (868 MHz/2.4 GHz)—not LoRaWAN. Sensors, gateways, and displays can only be combined within the SensMax ecosystem, with matching range types (LR only with LR, etc.) and the SensMax Cloud for data analysis.

What is the primary difference between the LR and SLR variants?

There are no functional differences between the SMX LR TS and SMX SLR TS variants. Both models operate on the 868 MHz radio frequency and support the same collector features.

How many individual sensors can a single data collector support?

A single data collector is capable of servicing up to 20 sensors simultaneously via its radio channel.

Does the device have internal memory to prevent data loss during network outages?

Yes, the device features internal memory that can store up to 40 days of data recorded in 5-minute intervals.

How can the device settings be configured?

Configuration is handled through a built-in web page, allowing for easy access to device settings and parameters.

What are the available power options for these collectors?

The units can be powered using either a 5V AC adapter or via a standard USB connection.

Which connectivity methods and protocols are used for data transmission?

The devices support both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity and utilize the MQTT protocol for reliable data communication.

What are the physical dimensions and housing materials of the device?

The device measures 66x66x28 mm and is housed in a durable black ABS plastic enclosure.
