The Barani MeteoShield Pro Gen 3 is a passive radiation shield for temperature and humidity probes. Its double-helix shape guides the air in a spiral around the probe, ventilating it evenly and keeping solar heating errors to a minimum: the manufacturer specifies a mean overheating of 0.1 °C at more than 800 W/m² and wind below 1 m/s, without fan aspiration. Water and dirt particles are expelled from the airflow, keeping the probe clean, dry and ice-free.
Important: no sensor included. The shield holds an existing probe. Choose the variant according to your probe diameter:
- Ø up to 20 mm: sensor clamp with M25 cable gland (Barani MSP-20-B-BM)
- Ø up to 25.4 mm (1 in): sensor clamp with M32 cable gland (Barani MSP-25-B-BM)
Scope of delivery: radiation shield, sensor clamp, bottom mounting bracket (2 mm stainless steel, white powder-coated), mounting screws. Mounts on a vertical pole or a horizontal surface.
