The Dragino CPN01 is an innovative NB-IoT dry contact sensor that detects the status of opening and closing and connects this information to the IoT server via the NB-IoT network. In the IoT server, the user can view the dry contact status, the opening times and the number of openings.
To ensure reliable data transmission, the CPN01 regularly sends data every day and additionally transmits information at each dry contact action. The opening times are recorded and the duration of the last opening is calculated. The user also has the option to individually disable the uplink for each opening/closing event and instead set the device to count events and uplinks at regular intervals.
An outstanding feature of the CPN01 is the "Open Alarm" function, which allows the user to set a time limit. If the contact is kept open longer than this pre-set time, the CPN01 will send an alarm to indicate possible problems.
In terms of possible applications, the CPN01 has been specially developed for outdoor use. The weatherproof housing ensures reliable operation under various weather conditions. In addition, the device has an industrial-grade battery that works reliably even in extreme temperatures - be it low or high.
