The DL-LID laser distance sensor from Decentlab measures the distance between the sensor head and the target. For this purpose, infrared laser pulses are emitted and the distance is measured based on the time until the signal returns. Through the knowledge of statistical values, the measurement results are continuously improved. The sensor is ideally used, for example, for monitoring snow depth, water level or flooding.
