The ERS CO2 Lite from ELSYS measures temperature, humidity and CO2. The two necessary 3.6V AA Lithium batteries are not included in the scope of delivery and must be purchased separately. In contrast to the ELSYS ERS CO2 Room Sensor this has no motion detector (PIR sensor) included.
Depending on the design brings the ERS series of sensors with various options. All sensor versions have NFC (Near Field Communication) for easy communication with a smartphone.
What's in it?
Some of the sensors for measuring carbon dioxide differ in the way they work. While some measure CO₂ directly, other sensors measure the so-called eCO₂. With eCO₂, it is not carbon dioxide as such that is measured but the volatile organic compounds in the air (VOC). The CO₂ content is calculated from these. In many applications, eCO₂ is perfectly adequate, but for some cases it must be exact. VOCs are often found in varnishes, paints and adhesives during the processing of materials. The resulting vapours usually cause headaches and irritate the mucous membranes.
