The Elsys ELT wM-Bus sensor is a battery-powered wireless M-Bus sensor designed for indoor and outdoor environmental monitoring. The device is mounted on the wall and configured via NFC using an NFC-enabled smartphone, so no additional tools or cable connections are required. Key technical features at a glance:
- Battery life: The device operates on a single 3.6-V AA lithium battery for up to 10 years, significantly reducing maintenance intervals.
- Flexible Inputs: Supports external sensors, including temperature, humidity, heart rate, analog input, and water leak detection, allowing for adaptation to various measurement tasks without having to replace the base unit.
- The sampling interval and data transmission interval are adjustable, allowing the settings to be changed on-site without additional hardware.
The ELT wM-Bus series communicates in accordance with EN 13757:2018 and supports modes T1, C1a, and C1b with a maximum RF transmit power of 14 dBm EIRP. The device is CE-compliant in accordance with the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, the Radio and Telecommunications Directive 2014/53/EU, and the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU, including Amendment 2015/863. A typical application is in smart buildings, where the base unit’s IP67 protection rating allows for use in exposed locations. ELS-ELT-W is the base sensor without external sensors, while ELS-ELT-ETH-W includes a pre-mounted external SHT4x sensor and a filter cap and has an IP54 protection rating.
