The Fleximodo IoT Parking Sensor reliably detects whether a parking space is occupied. It combines a 3-axis magnetometer with nanoradar and, according to the manufacturer, achieves a detection accuracy of up to 99 %. The ultrasonically welded housing (IP68, IK10, −40 to +75 °C) is designed for permanent use in public streets, either as an under-surface (flush-mount) or on-surface version. After a radio outage, the sensor automatically resends buffered events.
Operation on your own network
- LoRaWAN EU868 (Class A, OTAA/ABP), alternatively available as NB-IoT variant
- Operation on your own network server, e.g. The Things Stack (TTN/TTI) or ChirpStack, without licence fees
- We provide the payload description and a decoder for The Things Stack
- Configuration via LoRaWAN downlink
Firmware updates
- Locally via Bluetooth with the GOSPACE Flasher Android app. The sensor is activated on site with a magnet; an update takes about 1–2 minutes per sensor.
- Over-the-air updates only via the Fleximodo backend. Standard LoRaWAN FUOTA is not supported.
Battery
- Li-SOCl₂, 3.6 V, not replaceable
- Lifetime: 6 years verified in thermal cycling tests; calculated approx. 8 years at 20 parking events per day (SF9)
- The manufacturer grants a battery warranty only when the sensor is operated with the Fleximodo backend.
Scope of delivery: sensor hardware only. Connection to your own platform is carried out by the customer. Integration into the Fleximodo Cityportal (annual subscription) is available on request.
