The iotraffic Count system is an IoT system for recording, classifying and analysing road users on roads, in car parks and in other applications (e.g. people counting) in real time. Up to 12 counting lines are configured in the recording area, for example at a road junction, and the road users are classified and counted according to the direction of travel. GDPR-compliant use is ensured, among other things, by the fact that no personal data is stored and only counting data from various traffic participant classes is transmitted via LoRaWAN or LTE-M.
The data can be displayed in an IoT portal (e.g. Zenner Element IoT, Digimondo Niotix) or transmitted to an urban data platform or a traffic computer.
The iotraffic Count system is a precise, weather-independent system. The anonymised data collected helps to identify bottlenecks, increase safety and improve planning.
