The compact Lobaro wireless M-BUS gateway with external power supply records consumption values from up to 500 standard water meters, heat meters, heat cost allocators, etc. with an 868 MHz wireless M-Bus radio interface (e.g., OMS-compatible meters) or Sensus RF Bubble Up and forwards them in encrypted form via mobile communications or LoRaWAN to the Internet for further evaluation. The external power supply of the device also allows for frequent reading intervals in the range of minutes, for example for solutions in the area of predictive maintenance and early leak detection.
Forwarded meter readings can be transferred in encrypted form to the Lobaro IoT platform, where they can be viewed or downloaded as a CSV file. The Lobaro platform is optional.

Thanks to the novel NB-IoT wireless technology, remote reading even works in places like basements where 4G smartphones no longer have reception. The data volume of a single 10 Euro SIM card is easily sufficient for several years of operation in many use cases. The firmware also allows switching to upload via LoRaWAN.
