The Lobaro Hybrid Modbus Gateway (external power, 230 V) is an easy-to-use, cost- and energy-efficient device that reads data via Modbus from any number of Modbus-compatible devices, buffers it, and forwards it to the internet. The gateway can be used to communicate with Modbus slave devices (ASCII/RTU on an RS-485 bus, TCP over Ethernet) via NB-IoT, LTE-CatM1, LoRaWAN, or LAN. Modbus commands can be transmitted to the gateway via downlink messages and are forwarded by the gateway to the connected slave devices. Received responses are forwarded as uplink messages to the Lobaro IoT Platform. The Modbus gateway can also be configured to periodically execute Modbus commands and report the responses at the time of execution.
Lobaro Platform:
Starting with the 11th gateway, a fee of €1.50 per gateway per month applies for use of the Lobaro platform; there are no costs for the first ten gateways. The fee applies exclusively to devices without LoRaWAN—LoRaWAN-enabled devices are exempt from the fee due to their open-source standard.
