The Lobaro Dzero Gateway 4X is a battery-powered device. It is used for automated LoRaWAN, Nb-IoT or LTE-M remote interrogation of novel "smart metering devices" via the standardised optical customer interface ("INFO") of the electricity meter.
For this purpose, stored meter readings are queried via the optical interface on the front. The data communication is carried out by means of the round Lobaro add-on module ("opto head"), which is attached to the meter via an integrated magnet. The opto-head itself is connected to the Dzero Gateway 4X via a 1m cable. In total, up to four opto heads can be used per gateway.
The Dzero Gateway 4X interprets the data sent by the meter in SML format or IEC 62056-21 format and forwards the current meter reading, or other data configured via OBIS codes, via any LoRaWAN network or via NB-IoT or LTE-M1 mobile radio to the internet for further evaluation.
The connection to a TH 35 top-hat rail is provided via a top-hat rail holder.
