Milesight's GS101 is a LoRaWAN gas detector which is able to recognise a natural gas leak and send alarms. When the gas concentration exceeds the user-configurable threshold, the detector triggers an LED light alarm and sounds a loud tone. Using an integration solution, the device also supports the control of other LoRaWAN actuators as a result of the alarm, for example, to mechanically interlock the gas main and open vent fans. Thus, possible accidents can be prevented in time. Apart from local alarm mechanisms, the GS101 sends a regular heartbeat with the current status of the device.
