The Milesight VS351 LoRaWAN people counter is a small, robust and maintenance-free sensor equipped with LoRaWAN technology.
The VS351 mini people counter is equipped with a sensor that is able to detect and count the heat signatures of people and animals. It also has a radar sensor that detects and counts the movement of vehicles and other objects.
The sensor is suitable for various applications, such as measuring traffic flow in building entrances, parking lots or on roads. It can also be used to measure the number of visitors in museums, exhibitions or other public facilities.
It is easy to set up, requires no external power source and has a long range thanks to LoRaWAN technology. With this device you can efficiently count people and vehicles and analyze and visualize the data.

How a PIR motion detector works:
The PIR motion detectors (passive infrared sensors) are named after pyroelectricity, whereby a change in temperature leads to a measurable change in electrical voltage. Every living organism emits infrared radiation. A change in the heat source registers that something is moving and, depending on the design, in which direction it is moving. PIR motion detectors are therefore often used as light motion detectors, whereby the light is activated when a PIR motion detector registers movement.
