The SenseCAP A1101 is a LoRaWAN camera with built-in AI image recognition—a smart camera that transmits data via a LoRaWAN sensor network and is designed for autonomous visual recognition in industrial, agricultural, and urban outdoor settings. Instead of transmitting images wirelessly, the AI model runs directly on the device: only the recognition result is sent via LoRaWAN. This saves bandwidth and energy and protects privacy.
Custom AI models supported — The A1101 AI camera supports both TensorFlow Lite and PyTorch, making it ideal for TinyML applications. Trained models (192 × 192 pixels) can be transferred to the device via Bluetooth using the free companion app. Pre-trained models for pest detection, fruit ripeness detection, person detection, and object detection are already available — the camera with person detection can thus be used directly in smart building and smart city applications.
Rugged for outdoor use — With an IP66 rating, an extended temperature range of −40 °C to +85 °C, and a replaceable 19 Ah lithium-thionyl chloride D-cell battery, the LoRaWAN camera is designed for years of low-maintenance outdoor operation. The LoRaWAN range is 2 to 10 km, depending on the environment.
LoRaWAN EU868 — Like all LoRaWAN sensors in our store, the A1101 is preconfigured for the European LoRaWAN frequency plan EU868 and is CE-certified. Plug-and-play compatibility with The Things Network, Helium, and other LoRaWAN network servers.
Configuration via smartphone — Parameters, firmware updates, and device cluster management can be conveniently managed via Bluetooth using the SenseCAP app.
