The Sontex 868 is an electronic heat cost allocator with unidirectional wireless communication via Wireless M-Bus at 868.95 MHz and is designed for the precise measurement of heating energy consumption at radiators in accordance with EN 834:2013. The device operates using either a single-sensor or dual-sensor measurement method and features an LCD display as well as a visual interface for configuration and data retrieval. Data transmission is encrypted using AES-128, enabling secure remote reading in walk-by or fixed-network mode. The heat cost allocator is equipped with a lithium battery that typically has a service life of over 10 years. Up to 144 monthly readings can be stored. Installation takes place directly on the radiator, optionally with a remote sensor. The Sontex 868 is suitable for transparent, standards-compliant, and tamper-proof consumption billing in residential and commercial buildings.
