The Tektelic SEAL is a portable LoRaWAN GPS tracker designed for location monitoring and the safety of field workers. The device is worn on the body and requires three AA batteries to operate. Key technical features at a glance:

  • GNSS Tracking: Provides 2.5-meter positioning accuracy outdoors and supports QZSS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou, enabling reliable tracking of field employees' locations.
  • SOS Alarm Button: This user-activated emergency button, which features audible and visual indicators, sends alarm signals every minute in an emergency, enabling a rapid response without the need for additional hardware.
  • Fall and Impact Detection: The built-in accelerometer automatically detects falls, allowing incidents to trigger alerts without the employee having to press a button.

The SEAL device operates as a Class A device with an internal antenna and is compatible with standard gateways and network servers. Thanks to its IP67-rated housing and an operating temperature range of -20 °C to 60 °C, it is suitable for outdoor use and in industrial environments. Battery life is up to 8 months at the standard reporting interval, which reduces maintenance requirements for large installations. A typical application is monitoring lone workers at industrial sites, where BLE-based short-range indoor detection provides seamless coverage of the entire premises. Integration and data display are supported via the TEKTELIC LeapX mobile app, and fleet management is enabled through Locus integration. The TTC-SEALB is the standard model, measuring 104 x 70 x 33.8 mm, while the TTC-SEALC features an integrated clip for direct attachment to clothing or equipment and measures 104 x 70 x 57.8 mm.
