The Nwave G4 Parking Sensor (flush-mount) detects the occupancy of parking spaces in real time. It combines a magnetometer, a light sensor and inductive sensing and, according to the manufacturer, detects vehicles with 99.9 % accuracy within about 7 seconds. Unlike radar, inductive detection remains reliable even when the sensor is wet. With a diameter of 156 mm and a height of 20 mm, it is installed flush with the ground. The double hermetically sealed housing (IP68, IK10, −40 to +85 °C) withstands mechanical stress, rain, snow and dirt.
