DM-Link is Digital Matter's essential deployment and troubleshooting tool, designed to streamline the onboarding and troubleshooting process for partners. While our devices are optimized for immediate deployment, there are situations where special configurations are necessary due to unique network or SIM requirements. This is where DM-Link becomes critical as it allows partners to manually adjust APN settings, troubleshoot connectivity issues and perform firmware updates. For mobile devices, DM-Link helps to resolve connectivity issues on LTE-M and NB-IoT networks. While most devices connect easily via AutoNet, problems can occur with unrecognized SIM cards or default APNs. Unlike older 2G and 3G systems, LTE-M and NB-IoT devices must be on the data network before SMS diagnostic tools can be used, making DM-Link an indispensable tool for direct troubleshooting and configuration. For LoRaWAN devices, DM-Link facilitates region and JoinEUI configuration and enables device setting adjustments and firmware updates prior to deployment. Although over-the-air updates are technically possible, they are often impractical for battery-powered devices. By using DM-Link, partners gain more flexibility and control over device settings, improving deployment success and efficiency.
