The METERTEROS 12 soil moisture sensor is a precise and robust tool for measuring volumetric water content (VWC), temperature and electrical conductivity (EC) in soil. With its advanced 70 MHz measurement technology, it minimizes the effects of soil texture and salinity and provides accurate readings in mineral soils and substrates.
The sensor is made of high-quality stainless steel needles that measure both temperature and EC and offers exceptional durability. It is compatible with METER data loggers and third-party systems using SDI-12 or DDI communication protocols and supports cable configurations up to 75 meters. The TEROS 12 is optimized for use in harsh environments and can remain permanently in the ground thanks to its low power consumption.
With a measurement range of -40C to +60C, an accuracy of 0.3C and a robust design, the TEROS 12 is ideal for agricultural research, irrigation management and ecological studies. The sensor is complemented by easy installation with the Borehole Installation Tool and is a reliable solution for long-term monitoring projects.
