The LDS03A LoRaWAN sensor from Dragino is a low cost outdoor door contact sensor, very flexible to deploy in a large number of usecases due to the sturdy outdoor housing. Every 2 hours the contact sensor transmits periodically, and of course when the contact to be monitored opens and closes. Thus, the door opening times, but also the duration are recorded. An opening alarm function can be set, in which the sensor sends an alarm as soon as the configured opening duration is exceeded. For example, a refrigerated door can be monitored to prevent it from being accidentally left ajar, which would interrupt the cold chain. The robust sensor can be used at low as well as high temperatures and is designed for outdoor use.
