The LG01v2 represents an open source single-channel LoRa gateway that provides the ability to link a wireless LoRa network to an IP network via WLAN, Ethernet, or an optional 4G module if required. Using LoRa WLAN, users can transmit data while achieving exceptionally long ranges at low data rates. The development of the LG01v2 focused specifically on the peer-to-peer LoRa protocol instead of the LoRaWAN protocol. Here, the LG01v2 uses a single-channel LoRa module to minimize the deployment cost of a private P2P LoRa wireless network. The LG01v2 is based on an open source Linux system. This allows the user to customize the Linux part and develop a bespoke software base. The gateway is equipped with a 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, 4 GB of eMMC memory and 512 MB of RAM, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. In addition, the LG01v2 supports remote management, allowing system integrators to easily monitor and maintain the gateway remotely.
