The IIoT-capable WIKA NETRIS3 radio unit is used wherever centralized, web-based remote monitoring of measuring instrument data is required. This Ex radio unit receives digital data from a WIKA measuring instrument via an intrinsically safe interface. With IP65 protection, it continuously transmits the data to a cloud via configurable data packets using LoRaWAN.
The radio transmission via LoRa is based on LPWAN technology, which enables long transmission ranges and long battery life. The unit is connected to a suitable WIKA measuring instrument via an M12 or angle connector and can even be replaced during operation in ATEX zones.
The simple web configuration via the cloud and the LoRaWAN network enables full end-to-end encryption with bidirectional communication for secure IIoT applications. The WIKA NETRIS3 radio unit is part of the WIKA IIoT Solution, which offers a holistic solution for digitalization strategies.
